The purpose of the Southern & Eastern Hardware Association is to promote a closer, more harmonious uderstanding and business relationship between executives of the Wholesale Hardware Distributors, Industrial Supply Distributors, Manufacturers Agencies, Industry Publications, Other Trade Associations.

Held every year, the Spring Meeting provides personal contacts with the top management staff from the leading distributors and manufacturers across the United States. You have the opportunity to meet with these industry leaders outside of the office environment. The relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings at the Mid Pines Inn & Golf Resort make for a pleasant yet productive setting. All of the event functions are designed to provide for optimum interaction between all of the attendees. The lifelong relationships you form here will remain a positive factor in your business and personal life.

At the annual membership meeting held at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club on April 29, 2003, Henry Lipscomb IV was unanimously elected President of the Southern and Eastern Hardware Association. Mr. Lipscomb, President of H.G. Lipscomb & Company located in Nashville, TN received the gavel from the outgoing President Robert “Randy” Holland (Amerock, Inc.). Randy Holland will serve as Chairman of the Board for the coming year succeeding Robert T. Hardee (Waters and Martin, Inc.). Steve Young (Julian C. Scruggs & Co.) was elected as 1st Vice President and Jim Lail (Lail & Associates) will serve as 2nd Vice President while continuing on as Secretary-Treasurer.
